Ximen School was founded in April 1913 and was named Anping Elementary School for Japanese-speaking children. Anping Local Cultural Museum on the current site used to be the dormitory of principal during the Japanese-ruled era. The place becomes almost a dangerous building now due to lack of good care after the Second World War.
