The National Museum of Marine Science & Technology, through various exhibitions, education, research, and collection activities, will present and interpret the development and application of marine science and technology, the formation of marine culture in Taiwan, the evolution of marine ecology, and the relationship between humans and the sea.
Concurrently, it hopes to strengthen culture and environmental features in the Badouzi area by integrating the surrounding areas with local signatures (Bisha Fishery Harbor, Badouzi Fishing Port, fishing villages, a seaside park, a bay, etc.) and relevant units (Fisheries Agency, Fisheries Research Institute, National Taiwan Ocean University, Keelung Plant of CSBC Corporation, Keelung City Government, Keelung District Fishermen's Association, etc.) to form a place with the theme of the "ocean" featuring education and tourism, thus becoming a unique park area featuring ocean education and tourism and recreation.
