Saint of War Temple has been established for more than 270 years, and it mainly enshrines Guan Yu (Saintly Emperor Guan). Each year during the Beehive Firecrackers Festival, Saint palanquin will start its conveyance tour from Saint of War Shrine for two days. In fact, setting beehive firecrackers is first hoped to eliminate plagues and send the god of plague away; but gradually, the ceremony of setting off firecrackers to pray to the Saint of War (Guan Yu) for the smooth and successful year to come has become the most important activity during the Lantern Festival domestically.
